About the role
This role plays a vital part in delivering TD’s human, relationship-driven banking experience. As a trusted partner to clients, you will support everyday banking and consumer product needs by building meaningful relationships with accuracy, confidence, and clarity—helping clients feel informed, supported, and empowered to achieve their financial goals while adhering to TD’s risk and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Combine transactional excellence with client needs-based engagement to deliver everyday banking and basic consumer account opening/maintenance.
- Proactively engage clients in meaningful conversations, helping them understand their options and connecting them to appropriate partners.
- Serve as the first point of contact and hospitality ambassador for the bank, guiding client flow while delivering a high-touch experience.
- Deliver accurate, efficient everyday banking transactions while deepening relationships by identifying client needs and referring them to specialists.
- Demonstrate broad knowledge of banking products and services to recommend client solutions using insights, tools, and resources.
- Engage in inbound and outbound acquisition efforts, recognizing client needs and initiating referrals to deepen relationships.
- Perform a broad range of client transactions and multi-step activities within established financial limits.
- Identify and assess client problems in straightforward situations using standard procedures; escalate non-standard issues internally.
- Orchestrate the overall client experience by managing client flow (in-person and phone), resolving inquiries, and making referrals.
- Serve as a hospitality ambassador, delivering consistent, relationship-driven experiences aligned with TD’s service strategy.
- Create personalized, client-first interactions to build trust and strengthen ongoing relationships.
- Proactively educate clients on banking products, services, and digital capabilities to enhance convenience and financial well-being.
- Engage clients through proactive outreach, including scheduling appointments for consumer account needs.
- Maintain compliance with company guidelines and regulations to minimize risk and protect clients.
- Act as a trusted first point of contact in safeguarding client relationships by adhering to AML laws and regulatory requirements.
- Identify potential discrepancies, material changes, or risk indicators and escalate appropriately.
- Contribute to a positive work environment by aligning with TD’s Model, Brand, and Culture.
- Complete required training and continuously strengthen risk and compliance knowledge.
- Collaborate with team members to contribute to the success of the team and organization.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of demonstrated experience working with clients (volunteering, education, or military experience included).
- Teller or cash-handling experience in a client-facing or financial institution preferred.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to be concise, clear, and consistent.
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to schedule and prioritize work.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Sound judgment in decision-making and problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Notary License preferred.
