About the Role

This role plays a vital role in bringing TD’s human, relationship-driven banking experience to life. As a trusted partner to clients, the role delivers everyday banking and supports consumer product needs by building meaningful relationships with accuracy, confidence, and clarity—helping clients feel informed, supported, and empowered to achieve their financial goals while consistently adhering to TD’s risk and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Combines transactional excellence with the capability to help clients find the right solutions through needs-based engagement.
  • Delivers everyday banking and basic consumer account opening/maintenance while proactively engaging clients in meaningful conversations, helping them understand their options, and connecting them to appropriate partners.
  • Serves as the first point of contact for clients as the hospitality ambassador of the bank location, seamlessly guiding traffic flow while delivering a high-touch client experience.
  • Delivers accurate, efficient everyday banking transactions while deepening relationships by proactively identifying needs and opportunities that will help clients reach their financial goals and referring clients to appropriate partners.
  • Demonstrates broad knowledge of banking products and services to utilize insights, tools, and resources to evaluate and recommend client solutions.
  • Engages in inbound and outbound acquisition efforts, accountable for recognizing client needs and initiating appropriate referrals to specialists, acting on deepening client relationships.
  • Performs and decisions a broad range of client transactions and multi-step activities within established financial limits.
  • Identifies and assesses client problems in straightforward situations using standard procedures and escalates non-standard issues internally; typically addressing routine requests requiring minimal discretion. Can serve as an escalation point as needed.

Client Accountabilities

  • Orchestrates the overall client experience by effectively managing client flow (in-person and phone), serving as the first point of contact for client inquiries, issue resolution, and referrals to appropriate partners.
  • Serves as a hospitality ambassador for the financial center, delivering consistent, relationship-driven client experiences aligned to TD’s service strategy.
  • Creates personalized, client-first interactions that build trust from initial engagement and strengthen ongoing relationships.
  • Proactively educates clients on banking products, services, and digital capabilities to enhance convenience, save time, and support financial well-being, while connecting them to specialists as needed to achieve long-term goals.
  • Engages clients through proactive outreach, including scheduling appointments for consumer account needs and deepening opportunities.
  • Balances client needs with sound judgment, policy adherence, and risk awareness to ensure compliant and responsible outcomes.
  • Advocates for clients by demonstrating empathy, integrity, and a long-term perspective in all interactions.

Shareholder Accountabilities

  • Maintains compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations to minimize risk and protect the client.
  • Acts as a trusted first point of contact in safeguarding the integrity of the client relationship by operating within compliance of AML laws and regulatory requirements, accurately verifying client identification, maintaining data integrity, and following established authentication and documentation standards.
  • Identifies potential discrepancies, material changes, or risk indicators and escalates appropriately in accordance with policy and procedure.
  • Acts in accordance with TD's code of conduct and ethical standards in every decision.
  • Protects TD's clients, colleagues, and the Bank by doing the right thing—owning it, raising it, knowing it.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years demonstrated experience working with clients. Experience can include any of the following: volunteering, education, military experience.
  • Teller or cash-handling experience in a client-facing/financial institution preferred.
  • Ability to work during operating hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
  • Ability to complete required job-related training upon hire.
  • Strong organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to be concise, clear, and consistent.
  • Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within deadlines.
  • Sound judgment in decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Notary License preferred.
