About the role

This role plays a vital part in delivering TD’s human, relationship-driven banking experience. As a trusted partner to clients, you will provide everyday banking services and support consumer product needs by building meaningful relationships with accuracy, confidence, and clarity. Your role will help clients feel informed, supported, and empowered to achieve their financial goals while adhering to TD’s risk and regulatory standards.

You will combine transactional excellence with the ability to help clients find the right solutions through needs-based engagement. This includes delivering everyday banking, basic consumer account opening and maintenance, and proactively engaging clients in meaningful conversations to connect them with appropriate partners.

As the hospitality ambassador of the bank location, you will serve as the first point of contact for clients, guiding traffic flow while delivering a high-touch client experience. You will perform accurate and efficient everyday banking transactions, deepen client relationships by identifying needs and opportunities, and refer clients to specialists to help them achieve their financial objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver everyday banking and basic consumer account opening/maintenance while proactively engaging clients in meaningful conversations to help them understand their options and connect them with appropriate partners.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients, acting as the hospitality ambassador of the bank location by seamlessly guiding traffic flow and delivering a high-touch client experience.
  • Perform accurate and efficient everyday banking transactions while deepening client relationships by identifying needs and opportunities to help clients reach their financial goals.
  • Refer clients to appropriate partners to help them achieve their financial objectives.
  • Demonstrate broad knowledge of banking products and services, utilizing insights, tools, and resources to evaluate and recommend client solutions.
  • Engage in inbound and outbound acquisition efforts, recognizing client needs and initiating appropriate referrals to specialists to deepen client relationships.
  • Perform and decide on a broad range of client transactions and multi-step activities within established financial limits.
  • Identify and assess client problems in straightforward situations using standard procedures; escalate non-standard issues internally.
  • Serve as an escalation point as needed for routine requests requiring minimal discretion.
  • Orchestrate the overall client experience by managing client flow (in-person and phone), serving as the first point of contact for inquiries, issue resolution, and referrals.
  • Deliver consistent, relationship-driven client experiences aligned with TD’s service strategy as a hospitality ambassador for the financial center.
  • Create personalized, client-first interactions that build trust from initial engagement and strengthen ongoing relationships.
  • Proactively educate clients on banking products, services, and digital capabilities to enhance convenience, save time, and support financial well-being.
  • Connect clients to specialists as needed to help them achieve long-term goals.
  • Engage clients through proactive outreach, including scheduling appointments for consumer account needs and deepening opportunities.
  • Balance client needs with sound judgment, policy adherence, and risk awareness to ensure compliant and responsible outcomes.
  • Advocate for clients by demonstrating empathy, integrity, and a long-term perspective in all interactions.
  • Maintain compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations to minimize risk and protect clients.
  • Act as a trusted first point of contact in safeguarding the integrity of client relationships by complying with AML laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Accurately verify client identification, maintain data integrity, and follow established authentication and documentation standards.
  • Identify potential discrepancies, material changes, or risk indicators and escalate appropriately in accordance with policy and procedure.
  • Act in accordance with TD’s code of conduct and ethical standards in every decision.
  • Complete required training and continuously strengthen risk and compliance knowledge.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by aligning with TD’s Model, Brand, and Culture as a fully participating team member.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of demonstrated experience working with clients (volunteering, education, or military experience included).
  • Teller or cash-handling experience in a client-facing or financial institution preferred.
  • Ability to work during operating hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
  • Ability to complete required job-related training upon hire.
  • Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to be concise, clear, and consistent.
  • Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to schedule and prioritize work effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Sound judgment in decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Notary License preferred.

Pay

$23.75 - $31.00 USD per hour. TD is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities. The base pay offered may vary based on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs.

Schedule

30 hours per week. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
