Responsibilities
- Create pitches including quantitative and qualitative analysis around regular way foreign exchange (FX) and interest rate risk management as well as potential risk scenarios embedded in cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and foreign currency debt capital raises.
- Analyze how a company and a financial sponsor's financial position may be impacted by FX and interest rate exposure.
Qualifications
Requires: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field, and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field, and three (3) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role.
Skills
- Creating corporate client presentations in the trade execution process
- Working with statistical concepts including normal distribution and confidence intervals
- Applying macroeconomics to analyze the fundamental and technical drivers of foreign exchange rates and interest rates including the effects of the current and financial account and monetary policy
- Derivative hedge accounting to ensure compliance with FAS 133 and 155 accounting standards
- Working with a wide range of foreign exchange derivatives, inputs/drivers of pricing, and implementation
- Negotiating business terms in ISDAs, Credit Support Annexes (CSAs), and interpreting the terms in those documents and sale and purchase agreements
- Working with foreign exchange market conventions, including identifying base currencies with respect to the U.S. dollar and using industry terminology required to execute trades
Pay
Annual base salary for this New York, New York-based position $128,000 - $150,000.
