Job Summary

In Retail Banking Sales And Service, this role delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects. Responsibilities include identifying customer needs, guiding them through available digital and self-serve options, and recommending alternative banking channels.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with BMO partners to identify referral opportunities.
• Welcome and guide customers in the branch lobby, offering advice and guidance on banking services.
• Conducts client conversations to recommend alternative banking channels and provide personal banking and investment advice.
• Maintains customer transaction-based needs with seamless execution.
• Engages customers in a needs-based conversation to identify potential opportunities and address everyday banking plans and credit card needs.
• Supports operational activities such as inventory management, escalated service requests, and follow-up on customer applications.
• Works collaboratively with the branch and market team to integrate marketing promotions and programs into customer conversations.
• Ensures accuracy and completeness of work information.
• Identifies and reports suspicious patterns of activity related to money laundering.
• Complies with legal and regulatory requirements to protect customer assets and privacy.
• Completes complex tasks within given rules and limits, analyzes issues, and escalates as necessary.

Qualifications

• Typically 1-2 years of relevant experience or Canada only: Registration to sell investment products completed or in progress.
• Confident and experienced in using social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications.
• Experience in consultative customer service or sales roles, with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience.
• Passionate commitment to helping customers and a focus on results.
• Resourceful self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport and connections with customers.
• Basic specialized knowledge, verbal and written communication skills, organization skills, collaboration & team skills, and analytical and problem-solving skills.

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $41,715.00 - $50,000.00, paid on a salaried basis. Additional benefits include health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
