Associate/AVP, Deal Management - Private Markets
About the role
Investment & Deal Execution – Deal Management: You will provide investment and deal closing support to private markets including equity, credit, funds, and real assets through a scalable deal execution platform. This role works closely with the Deal Team and various internal and external functional teams to ensure smooth and prompt closings of private markets investments including finance and regulatory operations. It entails clear communication with various stakeholders, tactical deal advisory, and elite organizational skills with superb attention to detail to drive execution capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead as deal execution point of contact with external and internal counterparties, partner Deal Team in administering deal execution relating to deal advisory and internal compliance considerations
- Advise on financial and operational feasibility of holding structure, deal funding mechanics, portfolio accounting/valuations implications and manage various work streams with internal stakeholders and external advisors during investments/divestments
- Implement efficient operating model including onboarding/offboarding investment portfolio across various jurisdictions in the region
- Manage structure, cash and liquidity, and work with internal treasury specialists to execute and monitor various treasury, credit, and hedging initiatives
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders such as internal Investment Team, Internal Investment Finance Specialists and Investment Operation members, Tax, Legal & Compliance, as well as external advisors and service providers
- Partner with operations team to fulfill all operational requirements, including liaising with partners and external administrator on funding requirements
- Support Global and Regional Head to implement various transformation programs and global projects
- Identify gaps in current workflow and take a proactive approach (technology-enabled solution where appropriate) to drive operational front-mid-back process improvements and efficiencies and reduce operational risks
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant deal finance advisory and transaction management experience, ideally in Real Estate supporting direct transactions
- Good understanding and awareness of private investments’ deal closing mechanics, investment structuring, documentation and controls
- Degree in accounting, finance, business, or equivalent; ideally a qualified accountant with Big 4 training
- Detail-oriented analytical thinker with creative problem-solving capabilities to effectively manage complex situations in a timely manner
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deals at any given time and deliver to deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills and drive partnership with internal and external stakeholders
- An inquisitive self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional, cross-regions multicultural environment

Pay
The anticipated base salary range for this role is between $130,000 and $160,000. Bonuses, which may form a meaningful proportion of the total pay package, are determined based on company and individual performance.
