Associate Auditor, External Audit and Assurance Services, Cranberry Township, PA

S.R. Snodgrass, P.C. is seeking candidates for our External Audit and Assurance Group. In this role, you will work with an engagement team to audit the financial statements of clients, including financial institutions (such as SEC-registrants), non-profits, employee benefit plans, and other diverse clients.

About the role

This is a full-time, hybrid position requiring an average of 45 hours per week, with additional hours as needed—especially during busy season (55-60 hours per week). Employees work at the direction of their team, splitting time between the office, client sites, and home. New employees typically have a minimum number of in-office days for training purposes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ongoing communication and keep firm management apprised of fieldwork status
• Accurately prepare a variety of reports for management’s review, using established firm policies and procedures
• Maintain and develop existing client relationships during regular interactions throughout the audit process
• Travel to client sites (out-of-town travel is less than 20%)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required (accounting degree preferred; finance, business, and other fields will be considered if certain accounting courses are completed)
• GPA of 3.0 or greater preferred
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
• Effective teamwork skills, including verbal and written communication
• Highly organized with good time management skills
