About the role
The Associate Auditor will be responsible for performing assigned audit and internal control test work and helping to report the audit results.
Responsibilities
- Performing audit work within assigned areas and generate documentation showing results and findings of the audit
- Evaluate adequacy of existing controls, identifying weak or missing controls and make recommendations to strengthen controls
- Prepare memos and reports to communicate audit findings to line management
- Follow-up on management's corrective action progress on issues cited
- Collaborate with Corporate Auditor and the Audit Managers in working with Bank Examiners and external auditors
- Travel to other Bank location/offices in order to perform assigned audits as necessary
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another related field required
- CPA, CIA, CFSA, CRCM, CTA or professional certification highly desired
- Previous professional work experience and prior working knowledge in audit highly desired
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word & Excel) required
- Strong organizational and analytical skills and detail-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate time management, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel up to 10%
