Associate Attorney - Transactional / Real Estate

About the role

This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney who enjoys sophisticated transactional work, values direct client interaction, and wants to build a long-term practice representing commercial lenders on complex financing transactions.

Responsibilities

• Structure, draft, and negotiate commercial loan documents
• Advisors lenders on real estate-secured financing transactions
• Manage transactions from origination through closing
• Review and analyze title insurance matters
• Cook with borrowers, title companies, and opposing counsel
• Build trusted relationships with institutional lending clients
• Collaborate closely with experienced partners and attorneys on complex transactions

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 4+ years of transactional real estate finance experience
• Experience representing lenders in commercial financing transactions
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and closing skills
• Understanding of title insurance and real estate collateral issues
• Experience with West Coast transactions is a plus
