About the role
This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney who enjoys sophisticated transactional work, values direct client interaction, and wants to build a long-term practice representing commercial lenders on complex financing transactions.
Responsibilities
- Structure, draft, and negotiate commercial loan documents
- Advisors lenders on real estate-secured financing transactions
- Manage transactions from origination through closing
- Review and analyze title insurance matters
- Cook with borrowers, title companies, and opposing counsel
- Build trusted relationships with institutional lending clients
- Collaborate closely with experienced partners and attorneys on complex transactions
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 4+ years of transactional real estate finance experience
- Experience representing lenders in commercial financing transactions
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and closing skills
- Understanding of title insurance and real estate collateral issues
- Experience with West Coast transactions is a plus
