Associate Attorney – Real Estate
Job details for a well-established regional law firm seeking two Real Estate Associate Attorneys to join its growing Pennsylvania real estate practice. Candidates may sit in either the York or Lancaster office, depending on location preference.

The Practice
The firm's real estate team represents businesses, developers, investors, financial institutions, municipalities, and other clients across a broad range of commercial real estate matters. The group advises clients throughout the lifecycle of a transaction, including acquisitions and sales, leasing, development, land use, financing, and due diligence.

The firm has 120+ attorneys across Pennsylvania and Maryland and maintains a broad full-service platform, allowing the real estate group to collaborate with attorneys across corporate, finance, construction, environmental, tax, litigation, and other complementary practices.
Schedule & Billables
- Hybrid work environment
- Approximately 1,800–1,850 annual billable hours
- Attorneys are expected to maintain meaningful connection with their local office, clients, and practice team
Pay
Target compensation approximately $160,000+ depending on experience, credentials, and relevant real estate background. Additional compensation may be available based on performance and billable production.

Candidates may choose between:
- York, Pennsylvania
- Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Responsibilities
The associate will work closely with experienced partners while taking increasing ownership of matters involving:
- Commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions
- Purchase and sale agreements
- Commercial leasing
- Real estate financing
- Title, survey, zoning, environmental, and other due diligence
- Land use, zoning, subdivision, and development matters
- Entity formation and transaction structuring
- Development and construction-related real estate matters
- Drafting and negotiating transactional documents
- Direct communication with clients, lenders, opposing counsel, and other transaction participants
Requirements
- 2+ years of real estate law experience
- Experience with commercial acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, development, or related transactional matters
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines
- Strong legal research and analytical skills
- Business-minded approach to client counseling
- Interest in building long-term client relationships
- Pennsylvania Bar admission or eligibility to become admitted
- J.D. from an accredited law school
