Our prestigious law firm is seeking a dynamic, experienced Associate Attorney specializing in Public Entity Defense. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned attorney with a passion for public entity law, municipal law, litigation, and police litigation. Responsibilities

  • Representing public entities such as cities, counties, and special districts in litigation and advisory matters.
  • Defending public entities in a variety of civil litigation matters including police litigation, land use, environmental law, constitutional law, and other municipal issues.
  • Providing legal advice to public entities on a wide array of issues relating to their operations and governance.
  • Drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs and other court filings.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis to ensure the best legal strategies for our clients.
  • Participating in trials, hearings, depositions, and other court proceedings.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting public entities.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney with a strong focus on public entity law, municipal law, litigation, and police litigation.
  • Demonstrated experience in representing public entities in litigation and advisory matters.
  • Strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting public entities.
  • Excellent legal research, analysis, and writing skills.
  • Strong negotiation and courtroom advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and projects, with a keen attention to detail and deadlines.
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of clients and team members.

Pay

$150,000 - $225,000 per year
