Responsibilities
- Represent clients involved in various transportation related incidents, including auto accidents, tractor/trailer collisions, fatalities, and motor vehicle accidents (MVA)
- Provide comprehensive legal counsel and defense strategies to individuals, businesses, and insurance companies operating within the transportation/trucking industry
- Conduct thorough investigations into accidents, analyze evidence, assess liability, and develop defense strategies tailored to each case's unique circumstances
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediation, and court proceedings
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Participate in case strategy discussions and negotiations
- Manage case files and maintain accurate and organized records
- Work on both high-exposure personal injury matters with a small team of lawyers as well as lower-exposure matters as the primary attorney managing the case
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the State Bar of Texas
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation/insurance defense/personal injury
- Strong research and writing skills, specifically for complex motions practice
- Excellent oral communication and negotiation skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to travel when necessary
- Comfortable drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Experience handling cases from inception to final resolution
