Associate Attorney - Litigation - TX

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to provide legal oversight and strategic direction for the firm's litigation practice. This role requires significant litigation experience, a background in banking or finance law, strong compliance judgment, and the ability to manage a variety of cases from inception through resolution.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal oversight and strategic direction for the firm's litigation matters.
- Manage a diverse caseload of banking litigation matters.
- Ensure strict compliance with state, federal, and regulatory laws.
- Handle specialized cases (e.g., judicial foreclosure, probate, title curative matters).
- Monitor regulatory changes and recommend process modifications.
- Provide legal guidance to operational staff on litigation-related issues.
- Review and approve procedural changes for legal soundness.
- May perform other duties as assigned to support department goals.
- May occasionally work extended hours based on operational needs.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of active litigation experience.
- Proven expertise in contested default and banking/mortgage servicing litigation.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Superior organizational and case management skills.
- High proficiency in legal research (Westlaw, LexisNexis, etc.).
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license in good standing to practice law in the State of Texas.
- Admission to practice before all four Texas federal district courts preferred.
Schedule
The work week is typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Employees are required to be onsite 2-3 days per week following a 90-day training period and upon management approval.
Pay
The salary for this position typically ranges from $98,000 to $128,000, depending on qualifications, experience, internal equity, and business needs.
