Associate Attorney - Litigation

Job Details

• Responsibilities:

  • Managing all phases of the litigation process from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests, and responses, motions, briefs, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Conducting extensive legal research and analysis of laws, regulations, and legal articles to assist in the preparation of case strategies.
  • Representing clients in court, before government agencies, or in private legal matters.
  • Collaborating with legal staff, clients, and other professionals to discuss case details and strategies.
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
  • Performing due diligence in legal matters concerning contracts, agreements, and mergers and acquisitions.

• Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice in South Carolina.
  • 2+ years of litigation experience, preferably business/commercial.
  • Proven background in managing a diverse caseload with multiple clients.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to articulate legal strategies and complex legal issues clearly and effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in legal research and writing.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity.
  • Proficient in using legal software and technology for case management, document review, and trial preparation.
