Associate Attorney - Insurance Defense, Liability

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigation attorney to join a collaborative team and handle complex tort and insurance defense matters from inception through resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload involving tort and insurance defense litigation matters from pleadings through trial preparation and resolution
• Handle court appearances, depositions, motion practice, discovery, and client reporting
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and colleagues to ensure strategic alignment and superior service
• Provide sound legal judgment, practical solutions, and timely updates to clients and firm leadership
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
• Active New Jersey Bar admission
• Minimum of five years tort and insurance defense litigation experience
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with sound professional judgment
• Proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple matters efficiently
