About The Opportunity

Our client, a well-established law firm in Easton, Maryland, is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its growing Estate Planning & Estate Administration practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney interested in building a long-term career in wealth preservation, succession planning, probate avoidance, and estate administration. Prior experience in estate planning is welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with estate planning matters, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives.
  • Prepare and review estate planning documents tailored to clients' needs.
  • Handle estate administration matters, including probate filings and asset transfers.
  • Assist with estate and trust administration from inception through completion.
  • Support attorneys with wealth preservation and succession planning strategies.
  • Prepare estate tax-related documents and filings as needed.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda, pleadings, and correspondence.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding the status of their matters.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure efficient case management.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the State of Maryland.
  • Interest in Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Probate, or Trust & Estates.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and drafting skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional client service and maintaining high ethical standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience or coursework in Estate Planning, Probate, Trusts & Estates, or Elder Law is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
