Associate Attorney--Civil Litigation--$100k-$125k--HYBRID

Join a highly respected litigation team with a longstanding reputation for excellence, where you’ll gain hands-on courtroom experience early and work alongside seasoned attorneys on complex, high-impact insurance defense matters.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on liability, damages, and coverage issues
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
• Argue motions in state and federal courts
• Attend court hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and settlement conferences
• Evaluate claims and prepare liability and damages analyses for clients
• Communicate effectively with clients, claims professionals, and opposing counsel
• Prepare cases for trial, including exhibits, witness preparation, trial briefs, and jury instructions
• Assist senior attorneys with complex litigation matters
• Maintain accurate and timely billing, meeting an annual billable requirement of 1,800 hours

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law (or ability to obtain licensure promptly)
• At least 1 year of civil litigation experience
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
