Associate Attorney--Civil Litigation--$100k-$125k--HYBRID

Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on liability, damages, and coverage issues
- Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
- Argue motions in state and federal courts
- Attend court hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and settlement conferences
- Evaluate claims and prepare liability and damages analyses for clients
- Communicate effectively with clients, claims professionals, and opposing counsel
- Prepare cases for trial, including exhibits, witness preparation, trial briefs, and jury instructions
- Assist senior attorneys with complex litigation matters
- Maintain accurate and timely billing, meeting an annual billable requirement of 1,800 hours
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law (or ability to obtain licensure promptly)
- At least 1 year of civil litigation experience
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
