Associate Attorney Banking
About the role
Lippes Mathias is seeking a talented associate to join their Banking and Financial Transactions Practice Group. The Banking Practice Group handles a wide range of sophisticated financial transactions, focusing on secured transactions, commercial real estate financing, mezzanine loans, and loan participation and syndications.
Responsibilities
- Title review
- Drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements
- Drafting and negotiating loan documents
- Drafting and negotiating leases
- Handling a wide variety of sophisticated financial transactions
- Handling acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and commercial leasing
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York State Bar (or eligibility for admission)
- 3-5 years of experience handling commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and/or commercial leasing
- A client-service orientation and a desire to develop business over time
- A self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills who is comfortable managing multiple matters simultaneously
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and commercial leasing is a plus
- A portable book of business is not required, but is a plus

Pay
Salary range: $115,000-$145,000/year. This is a good faith estimate for the position based on location and minimum criteria. Actual compensation may vary based on experience and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
Schedule
Firm-arranged parking is available for roles at downtown locations.
