About the role
We are a consumer protection law firm located in the Financial District of New York City, providing representation to consumers who have been harassed or otherwise deceived by creditors and debt collectors. Our firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our practice in Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining and supervising a heavy & diversified caseload of the Firm’s clients in Georgia.
- Communicating with clients regarding their respective matters.
- Drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, reviewing & drafting agreements, etc.
- Communicating with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims.
- Legal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law.
- While this role is hybrid, you will be required to travel for in court appearances.
Requirements
- Must be currently admitted to practice law in Georgia.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
- Must possess superior organizational & time-management skills to meet strict deadlines.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work easily with senior management and employees at all levels throughout the organization.
- Strong legal research skills -- proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
