About the role
We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 2+ years of medical malpractice and personal injury litigation experience to join a busy and collaborative litigation team. The attorney will manage cases from intake through resolution, handle discovery and depositions, work with medical experts, and represent clients in tribunals, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
Responsibilities
- Manage medical malpractice and personal injury cases from intake through resolution.
- Conduct case investigations and review medical records and evidence.
- Develop litigation strategies and evaluate liability and damages.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Manage all phases of discovery, including e-discovery.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Represent clients at hearings, medical malpractice tribunals, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Present evidence at medical malpractice tribunals to establish legitimate questions of liability.
- Coordinate and supervise outside medical and other expert witnesses.
- Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal and factual issues.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal litigation requirements.
- Collaborate with attorneys and litigation staff to deliver strong client results.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active Massachusetts Bar admission in good standing.
- Minimum 2 years of applicable medical malpractice and personal injury litigation experience.
- Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills.
- Ability to manage matters independently while working effectively within a team.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and litigation procedures.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
