Roles and Responsibilities
- Draft and review pleadings, agreements, correspondence, and other legal documents related to replevin and impound recovery matters.
- Conduct legal research, develop case strategies, and provide clear legal analysis and practical guidance to lender clients.
- Negotiate workouts, settlements, and recovery resolutions with borrowers and other stakeholders.
- Represent clients in court proceedings and in communications involving creditor rights and collateral recovery matters.
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to improve workflows, maintain accurate reporting, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active bar admission in Ohio, Kentucky, or Indiana, or eligibility for admission.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in civil litigation, with familiarity in lender focused, creditor rights, collections, or related practices preferred.
- Strong legal research, negotiation, case management, and written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters, maintain organized files, meet deadlines, and uphold ethical practice and client service standards.
