Associate Attorney

About The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established civil litigation and trial firm seeking an Associate Attorney with 0-10 years of experience to join its Kansas City office. The attorney will have the opportunity to handle a broad range of litigation matters while receiving hands-on training and mentorship from experienced trial attorneys.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle civil litigation matters from case evaluation through resolution and trial.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Assist with discovery, depositions, hearings, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Represent clients in a variety of matters, potentially including medical malpractice, personal injury, premises liability, insurance coverage, and product liability.
• Work closely with senior attorneys while developing independent litigation and trial skills.
• Manage case files, deadlines, and client communications effectively.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Missouri Bar admission or eligibility required.
• 0-10 years of legal experience; recent law school graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Genuine interest in civil litigation and trial practice.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while benefiting from a collaborative, mentorship-driven environment.
