Associate Attorney

About the role

Segal McCambridge, a national law firm with offices in 16 states, is looking to hire an Associate Attorney (0–5 years of experience) to join our expanding Southfield, Michigan office.

Responsibilities

• Act as co-counsel with 3 Segal McCambridge shareholders on their files
• Manage cases from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs
• Take and defend depositions
• Appear in court for hearings, case evaluations, and mediations

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in Michigan (required)
• 0–5 years of experience
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple matters efficiently
• Confident communicator with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset

Qualifications

• Newer attorneys with litigation internships, clerkships, or clinical experience are strongly encouraged to apply
