Associate Attorney

Summary An established Illinois law firm is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney to join its collaborative legal team. The ideal candidate will have prior family law experience and the ability to independently manage cases from initial client intake through resolution. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with clients, handle a personal caseload, and represent individuals and families in a variety of family law matters. Key Responsibilities Manage family law cases involving divorce, child custody and parenting time, child support, spousal maintenance, and property division.Conduct client consultations and provide regular case updates.Draft pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and legal correspondence.Communicate and negotiate with opposing counsel and other relevant professionals.Represent clients in court hearings and other legal proceedings.Manage assigned cases independently while collaborating with attorneys and support staff.Maintain organized case files and ensure timely completion of legal work. Qualifications Active license to practice law in Illinois.Prior family law experience required.Ability to independently manage a caseload from intake through resolution.Strong legal research, writing, communication, and organizational skills.Excellent client-management and case-management abilities.Professional, detail-oriented, and collaborative approach.
