Associate Attorney
About the role
Pappas Hayden Westberg & Jackson PC is a creditor’s rights and civil litigation law firm based in Overland Park, KS. They are seeking an attorney licensed and residing in Arkansas (also holding a MO / KS / CO license is preferred but not required).
Responsibilities
- Ability to draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests, and responses, settlement agreements, and other legal documents as necessary
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume role (including keeping up with emails and voicemail)
- Ability to work closely with support staff and other attorneys to maximize efficiency
- Ability to communicate with clients, opposing attorneys and pro se litigants in a professional and respectful manner
- Ability to exercise independent judgment related to case progress and resolution
- Ability to make weekly court appearances (including traveling) for dockets, motion hearings and trial
- Performing all other duties and projects assigned by partners
Requirements
- Minimum office hours of 8:00am to 5:30pm for Full Time
- Salary is commensurate with experience

Qualifications
- Attorney licensed and residing in Arkansas
- Preferred to hold a MO / KS / CO license
- Prior civil litigation experience is preferred but not required
- Experience with creditor’s rights is also preferred but not required
