Associate Attorney

Responsibilities
- Manage your own caseload from inception to resolution, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests while meticulously adhering to deadlines.
- Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials, gaining invaluable courtroom experience.
- Collaborate closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to devise effective litigation strategies.
- Provide clear and regular communication with clients, including updates and interim status reports on their cases.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare memoranda to bolster case strategies.
- Work alongside partners and senior attorneys to ensure seamless case management.
- Draft and argue dispositive motions.
- Respond to discovery requests.
- Take and defend fact witness and expert depositions.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Admission to the New Hampshire State Bar (essential prerequisite).
- Bar admission in Maine and/or Vermont, or a sufficient UBE score to waive into one or both jurisdictions (considered a plus).
- At least four (4) years of prior civil litigation experience.
- Experience in both New Hampshire state and federal courts.
- Experience trying cases in NH courts, taking/defending depositions, ADR experience, and settlement negotiations.
- Strong advocacy skills and proficiency in legal research.
- Self-starter with attention to detail and effective communication skills.

Pay
Competitive salary range of $120,000-$140,000, commensurate with experience.
