About the Role
MG+M The Law Firm is seeking Associate Attorneys to join our growing litigation team in any of our California office locations: Irvine, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Walnut Creek. MG+M is a nationally renowned litigation law firm concentrating on complex civil matters. The firm's expertise is diverse but focused in the areas of toxic tort, complex product liability, construction defect, local government, general liability, and commercial litigation. We approach litigation as a unified team, integrating our efforts with those of our clients to advance their interests wherever they do business. Responsibilities
- Handle local and national accounts throughout the State of California
- Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial
- Review and analyze discovery requests and responses
- Draft and respond to discovery, pleadings, motions, and other litigation filings
- Take lead roles in plaintiff and expert witness depositions
- Assist with trial preparation and trial support
- Collaborate with partners, clients, and team members to develop case strategy
- Maintain accurate and timely billing and time records
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in one or more of the following practice areas: Construction Defect, General Liability, Product Liability, or other comparable civil defense litigation experience
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Admission to practice law in California and in good standing
- Experience handling all phases of litigation, including motion practice, discovery, and depositions
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
