Associate Attorney
About the role
McMichael Taylor Gray, LLC is seeking an attorney licensed AND residing in Tennessee to join its growing practice. The ideal applicant will be a career-oriented professional with at least three years of experience and a desire to represent or experience in representing creditors in foreclosures, evictions and/or title proceedings. Creditor-side bankruptcy experience is a plus, as is litigation experience.
Responsibilities
- Review of title abstracts and loan documents in preparation of noticing foreclosure sales.
- Legal research and writing.
- Written and oral communication with clients, outside counsel, and Court personnel, among others.
- Court appearances for motions, conferences, hearings, etc., as needed.
Requirements
- Admitted to practice in Tennessee. Admitted to practice in other states is a plus.
- A positive, respectful, growth-oriented mentality.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to balance and prioritize a high volume workload.
Qualifications
- Pass a background check.
- Provide two professional references.
Skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage numerous tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Leadership and management skills are strongly preferred.
