Associate Attorney

About the role

Mandarich Law Group is one of the country's leading creditor's right law firm with offices in CA, NY, IL, MI, OH, GA, MO and FL, seeking an Associate Attorney licensed in South Carolina to work in our Charlotte, NC or Raleigh, NC office.

Responsibilities

• Court Appearances – correctly prepare, appear timely, and properly handle court appearances within reasonable travel distance; ensure timely and reliable appearance; may need to travel overnight; driving a car required for some locations.
• Court Coverage Placements – review and appropriately request coverage where necessary for all court calls where the Associate will not appear, including attachment of all necessary documents and any orders needed for requested coverage results.
• Mid‑Litigation Motions and Responses – draft, review, and file any necessary motions during the course of litigation.
• Trials and Arbitrations – prepare for trials/arbitrations as needed, which may include overnight stays in distant counties.
• Communications with Attorneys, Employers, and Consumers – communicate with consumers, their employers, and their attorneys as necessary to resolve accounts/suits.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in the State of North Carolina; additional licensing in other states (SC, IA, MO, KS, IL, NY, NE, ID, CA, WA, OR, AK, HI, NV) is welcomed.
• Comfortable appearing in court and able to appear on time consistently using your own method of transportation.
• Travel may be required; the firm reimburses mileage per IRS rates and other approved travel expenses in the subsequent pay period.
• Strong multi‑tasking ability and excellent verbal and written communication skills for a high‑volume case load.
