What You'll Do
- Court Appearances - Prepare and appear timely and properly for court appearances within the eastern side of the state; ensure reliability and punctuality.
- Court Coverage Placements - Review and request coverage for court calls where an Associate will not appear, ensuring all necessary documents and orders are attached.
- Mid Litigation Motions and Responses - Draft, review, and file necessary motions during litigation.
- Trials and Arbitrations - Prepare for trials and arbitrations as necessary, potentially requiring overnight stays in distant counties.
- Communications - Communicate with attorneys, employers, and consumers as necessary to resolve accounts and suits.
Requirements
- Licensed in the State of Kansas AND Missouri to practice law.
- Additional licensing in other states (IA NE ID CA WA OR AK HI NV) is welcomed.
- Comfortable appearing in court and consistent on-time presence using personal transportation.
- Multi-tasking and strong verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.
