Associate Attorney

Local Phoenix insurance-defense firm (central PHX, near the Biltmore) seeks an Associate Attorney (1–4 years of experience) for a busy practice handling complex civil litigation, construction, and personal-injury matters. Ideal candidates have prior insurance-defense experience, reside in Arizona, and are admitted to the Arizona Bar.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate cases, make recommendations, and provide litigation support.
• Communicate with clients and opposing counsel.
• Propound and respond to discovery requests.
• Perform legal research and draft memoranda.
• Draft complaints, motions, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
• Prepare for, take, and defend depositions.
• Prepare for and attend court hearings.
• Prepare for and attend mediation.
• Deliver excellent client service.

Qualifications

• Admitted to the Arizona State Bar in good standing.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
• Hands-on experience with depositions, motions, and court hearings.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Team-oriented mindset.
