Associate Attorney

About the role

An established firm based in Sacramento with over 20 years in practice is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of civil litigation experience to join their team in a hybrid work arrangement. This Attorney will have experience with medical malpractice defense and professional licensing matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations while representing clients in litigation and advisory matters.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in legal proceedings, including hearings and trials, and manage cases from inception through resolution.
• Consult with clients, collaborate with legal and medical professionals, and develop litigation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Participate in regular evaluations and take advantage of mentorship opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and maintain an active license in good standing with the State Bar of California.
• 2-5 years of civil litigation experience and demonstrate strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Excellent academic credentials and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Proficient in legal software and document management systems and committed to client advocacy and legal excellence.
