Associate Attorney

Cipriani & Werner is a multidisciplinary law firm recognized for understanding client needs and delivering expected results. Our Mt. Laurel, New Jersey office is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Associate to join our growing team.

About the role

This is a hybrid position. You must be willing to work in the office on a full-time basis until fully transitioned into the role, with flexibility for some remote days thereafter. Travel to court will be required if assigned to a venue mandating in-person hearings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
• Represent clients in court hearings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases.
• Maintain billable hours as necessary.
• Manage client relationships and a caseload with supervision.
• Assist in the representation of clients in motion practice, conferences, and trial when and where necessary.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in New Jersey state court.
• 3–5 years of Workers’ Compensation experience; must be capable of taking an existing caseload.

Qualifications

Experience and familiarity with New Jersey State Rules of Court, New Jersey Federal Rules of Court, and Rules of Evidence preferred.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software.
• Self-motivated independent thinker with excellent time management and strong organizational skills.
• Outstanding communication skills and ability to work as a team member in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $100,000–$155,000. Actual compensation will depend on experience and qualifications.
