Associate Attorney

About the role

Aldridge Pite, LLP is a multi‑state law firm that leverages technology to create workflow synergies with its clients and business partners. The firm provides full‑service legal representation to depository and non‑depository financial institutions—including banks, credit unions, mortgage servicing concerns, institutional investors, private firms, and other commercial clients—guided by the tenets of Partnership, Integrity, and Innovation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze legal issues and review strategies for assigned matters with the Managing Attorney.
• Handle a caseload in accordance with firm, client, and court timeline requirements.
• Work with department staff to ensure timely updates to client systems and the firm’s case management system.
• Prepare and review a variety of legal documents for legal sufficiency and compliance with client directives and state/federal law.
• Research and analyze statutes, judicial decisions, and codes; prepare foreclosure‑related motions, complaints, responsive pleadings, and briefs.
• Review and analyze real estate law and real estate title cases; handle substantive real estate and title litigation matters.
• Draft complaints, motions, and other filings.
• Perform quality‑control reviews of documents and staff work.
• Depending on experience level and training, may also:
  • Draft and argue pre‑trial motions and pleadings, attend court hearings and mediations.
  • Handle depositions.
  • Participate in trials at the state and federal level.

Requirements

• Able to prioritize and manage an assigned portfolio of work in a fast‑paced environment, demonstrating great attention to detail and accountability.
• Must be Virginia‑barred; recent law‑school graduates awaiting bar results are welcome to apply.
• Experience representing banks or mortgage servicers, or general real‑estate or litigation experience is a plus; recently licensed attorneys with relevant background are encouraged to apply.
