Associate Attorney - ($170K+ Bonus) NO BILLABLE HOURS

About the role

We are seeking an associate attorney with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and interest in insurance subrogation and construction matters to join our Los Angeles office.

Responsibilities

• Manage cases from investigation to resolution
• Serve as point-of-contact for clients and collaborate with experts and other witnesses
• Engage in settlement negotiations and mediations
• Prepare pleadings, conduct legal research, and engage in all stages of motion practice
• Draft and respond to written discovery and take and defend depositions
• Appear in court for conferences, hearings, and trials

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in Los Angeles
• Two to four years of litigation experience (civil, insurance, or construction preferred)
• Excellent legal writing and research skills
• Excellent command of details and an ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
• Professional demeanor with strong organizational and communication skills

Qualifications

• Experience with insurance subrogation or property-related claims
• Familiarity with ProLaw or similar legal practice management software
• Demonstrated interest in construction, product liability, or fire litigation

Pay

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 per year.
