Principal Accountabilities
- Lead day-to-day coordination and execution of M&A transactions from engagement through close, working directly with clients and senior bankers.
- Craft compelling confidential information memoranda, management presentations, and marketing materials that tell a company’s story to the right buyers.
- Conduct rigorous company, industry, and buyer/investor research that sharpens deal strategy and surfaces the best-fit counterparties.
- Build and stress-test historical and projected financial models, translating the numbers into a clear narrative for clients and buyers.
- Value companies using multiple methodologies — comparable companies, precedent transactions, discounted cash flow — and defend those conclusions in client and buyer conversations.
- Shape deal strategy and marketing approach alongside senior bankers, from positioning through negotiation.
- Build genuine relationships with clients, prospective clients, and professional advisors that outlast any single transaction.
- Pursue ongoing personal and professional development in step with Taureau’s growth — and your own trajectory toward leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or general Business; MBA preferred; FINRA licensing preferred.
- 2+ year(s) of experience in investment banking or Corporate M&A or broader experience adjacent to a corporate finance role.
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Strong financial analysis skills and knowledge of accounting
- Motivated, self-starter with a desire to grow into leadership for the practice area
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
