About the role

Pillsbury is seeking a mid‑level associate (3rd–5th year) to join the Corporate and Securities practice group in the New York City office to support the hypergrowth of its nationally ranked emerging company/venture capital practice. The role involves advising innovative/disruptive companies, entrepreneurs, and their financiers on all aspects of corporate law, including formation and venture capital transactions, M&A, technology transfer transactions, joint ventures, and other “outside GC” capacities, across industries such as ecommerce, health and wellness, AI, CPG, media, social media, software, cybersecurity, and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Advise innovative/disruptive companies, entrepreneurs, and financiers on corporate law matters.
• Handle formation and venture capital transactions, M&A, technology transfer transactions, joint ventures, and other outside GC capacities.
• Work across a broad array of industries (ecommerce, health and wellness, AI, CPG, media, social media, software, cybersecurity, transportation).

Requirements

• Admitted to practice law in New York.

Qualifications

• Strong academic background.
• Fluency in Excel and cap table/waterfall modeling.
• Exceptional research and writing skills.
• Passion for working with hard‑charging clients in a fast‑paced startup practice.

Pay

The expected salary range for this position is $260,000 – $365,000, with final compensation determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, skill set, and geographic location.
