About the Role
The Associate Service Consultant-Estate Team serves as a subject matter expert for advisors, clients, and internal business partners on the inheritance and divorce process. This role assists with the distribution of assets to beneficiaries who are inheriting an account from an LPL client, handling inbound calls, reviewing and processing legal documentation, and providing guidance on complex estate and divorce inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding service through phone support for complex inheritance and divorce-related issues in an inbound call center environment, aiming for "First Call Resolution" where possible.
- Take ownership of complex and escalated cases, ensuring follow-through with processing and resolution.
- Accurately communicate requirements and answer questions related to the inheritance and divorce processes.
- Use strong decision-making and communication skills to process estate and divorce claims, including reviewing paperwork for regulatory compliance and mitigating firm risk.
- Communicate empathetically and professionally due to the sensitive nature of estate and divorce situations.
- Review legal documentation such as letters of testamentary, trust agreements, Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs), divorce decrees, and other estate-related paperwork.
- Stay updated on and promote new processes and controls; provide feedback and process improvements to drive business forward.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment, supporting coworkers to achieve team and department goals.
Requirements
- 2+ years of brokerage/financial services client-facing or operations experience (comparable experience may be considered).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Word).

Preferences
- Previous experience with trust/estate or legal administration (e.g., beneficiary claims, retirement accounts).
- Experience in high call volume environments, especially during peak seasons.
- Experience de-escalating calls and providing solutions to external clients.
- Experience enforcing policies and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, accounting, or finance.
- SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 certifications.
Pay
Pay Range: $21.10–$35.16/hour. Actual base salary varies based on factors such as relevant skills, prior experience, education, internal peer benchmarks, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
