About the role

We are seeking an early-career Scientist or recent Bachelor’s graduate who is eager to learn and interested in combining laboratory science with data analysis and predictive approaches. This is a primarily laboratory-based role supporting analytical science activities that impact process and product development teams within biologics. The successful candidate will contribute to analytical support, technology development, data analysis, and process improvement initiatives while working cross-functionally across development sites. Training will be provided on role-specific techniques and processes. This opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to grow their experience at the intersection of laboratory experimentation, digital analytics, AI-enabled tools, and predictive development.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and support laboratory experiments to advance process and product development activities.
  • Review experimental priorities, study plans, and results from prior analytical runs.
  • Prepare samples, buffers, mobile phases, reagents, and other laboratory materials.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain HPLC/UPLC, Capillary Electrophoresis (CE), and related analytical instrumentation.
  • Perform analytical assays such as SEC, IEX/CEX, RP-HPLC, CE-SDS, and related methods.
  • Generate, analyze, interpret, and critically evaluate analytical data using LC, CE, mass spectrometry, and related analytical techniques.
  • Support analytical method optimization, verification, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Identify unusual analytical trends, peaks, variability, or potential product-quality changes and communicate findings effectively.
  • Compare analytical results across process conditions, formulations, and development candidates.
  • Collaborate with process development and formulation scientists regarding sample management, study design, timelines, and data interpretation.
  • Provide technical expertise in HPLC, CE, and associated analytical methodologies.
  • Contribute to automation initiatives that reduce repetitive manual tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Utilize AI tools and digital analytics platforms to accelerate data analysis, summarize experimental findings, and improve insight generation.
  • Help develop standardized workflows and digital solutions that improve consistency and reduce cycle times across programs.
  • Actively participate in process improvements, strategy discussions, and cross-functional partnerships.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and concise experimental documentation using electronic laboratory notebooks and related systems.
  • Ensure analytical deliverables are completed with accuracy and in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Operate specialized laboratory equipment and instrumentation safely and effectively.
  • Perform general laboratory housekeeping activities and maintain an organized work environment.
  • Complete required training and maintain training records as required.
  • Comply with safety guidelines, laboratory procedures, documentation requirements, building monitoring systems, and laboratory logbook practices.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and deliver quality results with minimal supervision.
  • Support a dynamic, fast-paced environment while effectively managing multiple priorities.

  • Exposure to chromatography techniques is preferred but not required.
  • Experience using Python, R, or another programming language through academic coursework, research projects, or applied learning activities.
  • Experience working in non-GMP laboratory environments supporting process development, scale-up, or formulation activities is beneficial.
  • Basic experience with analytical methods such as HPLC, CE, LC, or related technologies is advantageous.

Skills

  • Strong scientific problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to plan and execute experiments with attention to detail and scientific rigor.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present findings and collaborate across functions.
