Associate/Assistant Director of Admission
Job Summary
The Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College is seeking an Associate/Assistant Director of Admission to join their team. The role serves as the primary recruiter for assigned graduate business programs, engaging with various student populations and external partners.
About the Role
This role is responsible for executing a data-driven recruitment strategy, serving as the primary point of contact for prospective students, and building meaningful relationships with external partners to support enrollment goals.
Essential Job Functions
Execute on a data-driven recruitment strategy to attract and enroll graduate business students.
Review and analyze market trends and enrollment data to refine recruitment initiatives and align with enrollment goals.
Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students, guiding them through the admissions funnel.
Process application materials, conduct interviews, evaluate candidates, and render admission decisions.
Cultivate strong connections with prospective students by providing personalized guidance and support.
Carry out and attend recruitment events planned by the Assistant Director of Enrollment Marketing & Events.
Cultivate meaningful, sustained relationships with colleges and universities, student organizations, local chambers of commerce, external partners, and other community organizations.
Coordinate personalized campus visits and small-scale events for prospective students.
Collaborate with the admission and marketing teams to share market trends and themes, and develop creative communication messaging using the Slate CRM system.
Deliver compelling presentations to prospective students of all backgrounds, including early-career and undergraduate audiences, both in-person and virtually.
Develop and maintain relationships with alumni, faculty, administrators, colleges and universities, student organizations, local chambers of commerce, community organizations, employer partners, and other external stakeholders.
Represent the school in professional settings and serve as an ambassador for Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College.
Exercise sound judgment and professional discretion in managing admissions operations, candidate communications, and external relationships.
Maintain an active external presence through frequent local and regional travel for recruitment events, chamber engagement, employer outreach, networking opportunities, and prospective student meetings.
Periodically work non-traditional hours, including evenings, and occasional weekends, to accommodate prospective students, external partner engagement, chamber events, and admissions events.
Track, analyze, and assess key recruitment and enrollment metrics to inform decision-making.
Prepare reports and recommendations for the Director of Admission & Strategic Partnerships on recruitment outreach effectiveness and enrollment trends.
Manage programs and events as assigned.
Complete special projects and reports as needed.
Minimum Qualifications & Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
Minimum of 5 years of higher education and/or admission experience.
Preferred qualifications include a Master's Degree.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; strong public speaking and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, manage shifting priorities, and handle numerous time-sensitive projects with multiple deadlines.
Ability to accomplish goals working through formal and informal channels, with diplomacy and tactfulness.
Demonstrated creativity, problem solving, critical analysis, initiative, judgment and, decision-making skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a natural ability to initiate conversations, build trust, and sustain relationships with prospective students, alumni, chambers, and external partners.
Ability to apply technology to recruitment and admission processes and communications; proficiency in using Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook); Slate CRM experience highly preferred.
Demonstrated professional maturity, presence, discretion, and sound judgment when serving as an external representative of the school.
Demonstrated ability to respond quickly and professionally to time-sensitive opportunities, including events, meetings, and outreach needs that may arise with limited advance notice.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently, anticipate needs, exercise sound judgment, and move priorities forward with limited day-to-day oversight, including during external events and non-traditional work hours.
Work Environment
Campus-based, front-facing customer service position, working in an office environment.
Frequent local and regional travel required; domestic and international travel may be required based on recruitment priorities and external engagement opportunities.
