Associate Archaeologist – Rocklin
Responsibilities
- Conduct pedestrian surveys and site documentation
- Prepare maps, records, and technical reports
- Perform construction monitoring and archaeological excavations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients
- Support project and business development activities within the region
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Anthropology, archaeology, or a closely related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience; 5 years of experience in environmental and cultural resources management in California (CRM) is highly desired
- Ability to conduct fieldwork and construction monitoring, including travel and work in challenging outdoor environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration in a smaller office environment
- Working knowledge of federal and state cultural resources regulations
- Familiarity with the prehistory, history, archaeology, and ethnography of Northern California
Physical Requirements
- Hiking over uneven terrain
- Carrying field equipment
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Standing or walking for extended periods of time
Compensation
This is a full-time hourly position with a range of $30.00 – $37.00 per hour. Actual compensation is based upon relevant experience, education, certifications, and internal equity.
