Associate Application Engineer
Job Summary
Designs and develops software applications of limited complexity. Performs coding, configuration, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, And Key Accountabilities
- Develops and documents technical design specifications to meet business needs identified through application requirements, user stories, support tickets, and test defects.
- BUILDS software enhancements through configuration and/or development to meet desired functionalities.
- PERFORMS unit testing on application enhancements prior to moving coding and configuration through the quality assurance process.
- ASSISTS in the development and definition of test plans and scripts for functional, performance, regression, and user acceptance testing.
- MaintAINS project files in accordance with policies and procedures.
- RESEARCHES industry trends through publications, discussions, professional organizations, and by attending instructional presentations and workshops.
Nature and Scope
Works in compliance with established procedures and/or protocols. Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly defined problems. Demonstrates skill in data analysis and techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in routine research/data. Nature of work requires general supervision; exercises judgment.
Education And Experience
Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Certification may be required in some areas. Generally 0-2 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 0-1 year of experience in a related field.
