About the role

The Associate Analyst, Revenue Requirements role at Eversource involves supporting regulatory filings submitted to the New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission ("NH PUC"). This role is non-traditional and requires cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Compile financial and accounting information related to revenue filings submitted with the state regulator.
• Support the testimony of the expert witness (representing the Company) before the state regulator on regulatory issues.
• Communicate complex issues and results of financial analysis in accessible terms for relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare and own work papers in support of company filings and information requests.
• Docket management of regulatory proceedings to ensure deadlines are met.
• Contribute to streamlining or improving existing procedures and eliminating outdated processes.
• Identify and raise potential regulatory risks and communicate progress against goals.
• Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and legislation.
• Apply generally accepted accounting and economic principles.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of basic accounting theory and practices.
• Understanding of deferred accounting principles and rate base/operating income.
• Accounting research techniques.
• Ability to work in an operating environment applying accounting and economic principles.
• Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Functional understanding of computerized business systems.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a closely-related discipline.
• Zero to three years of related experience, preferably in the application of revenue requirements theory and applicable regulations.

Benefits

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. Salary is commensurate with experience. This position is eligible for a potential incentive. The annual salary range for this position is $75,880.00-$84,310.00.

Schedule

The role is a hybrid role based in Berlin-CT for three days a week and remotely for two days a week. The ideal candidate would be required to travel to Manchester-NH as needed.

Working Conditions

Must be available to work emergency restoration assignments as required. Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.

Responding to emergency situations to meet customers' needs is part of every employee's role. If employed, you will be given an Emergency Restoration assignment. This means you may be called to assist during an emergency outside of your normal responsibilities, work hours, and location.
