Associate Analyst

About the role

We need help building out financial models for companies to follow. In this role, you will work closely with the senior analyst and learn our approach to analyzing and forecasting companies. You will use data from FactSet or Bloomberg and enter historical financial information into financial model templates that form the basis of our forecasting tool. Special attention will need to be paid to one time or non-recurring items in historicals and we will solve for anomalies in performance.

Responsibilities

• Enter historical financial data from FactSet or Bloomberg into financial model templates.
• Identify and adjust for one‑time or non‑recurring items in historical financials.
• Solve for anomalies in company performance within the models.
• Perform heavy Excel work, including creating charts and visualizations.
• Read and interpret 10Q and 10K filings.
• Analyze management guidance from press releases, earnings call transcripts, and presentations.
• Complete assignments as they are received based on demand and prior project completion.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of financial modeling and forecasting.
• Proficiency with Excel, including charting capabilities.
• Ability to read and understand 10Q and 10K filings.
• Ability to interpret management guidance from press releases and earnings call materials.
• Capacity to learn quickly and work independently.

Qualifications

• Finance degree or progress toward the CFA designation is a plus.
• Potential for the role to evolve into a more permanent position with expanded responsibilities.

Skills

• Advanced Excel skills, particularly charting and data manipulation.
• Familiarity with FactSet or Bloomberg data platforms.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
