About the role

Provides comprehensive support for clinical site contracts administration, including budget development, negotiation facilitation and contract execution. Partners with legal department to ensure clinical contracts are reviewed and fully executed in a timely manner. Supports administration of clinical contracts (invoicing, timelines, tracking, reporting, issues, etc.) for assigned project(s). Serves as a liaison with clinical sites and CROs for contract related matters.

Responsibilities

  • Affords clinical trial contract process and administration, may review contracts and budgets for accuracy.
  • Affords to ensure on-time processing of clinical contracts from initial request through execution in accordance with the project timelines.
  • Affords both legal and clinical operations clerical and administrative support in administering clinical contracts and collecting site documents as needed.
  • For studies that are outsourced, affords site contracting and budget activities and assists with general questions and requests.
  • Affords to develop Clinical Trial Agreement (CTA) templates and budget grids for clinical studies as needed.
  • Affords to submit web requests and coordinate with Legal Department on execution of clinical site agreements.
  • Affords to provide administrative support in monitoring and negotiating budgets with clinical sites.
  • Affords to support the internal site payment processes to ensure payments are made based on executed contracts.
  • Affords other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / Associates degree in biological or physical life science AND 4 years of clinical department of a biotech/pharmaceutical company or completion of related experience required.
  • Site budgeting experience preferred OR Bachelor's degree in relevant field AND 2+ years of of clinical department of a biotech/pharmaceutical company or completion of related experience required. Site budgeting experience preferred.
  • Applies understanding of company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
  • Understands how own area contributes to the achievement of objectives.
  • Comfortable with tools and processes that support work conducted by functional area.
  • Must have good organization skills, be a team player and function independently with general guidance.
  • Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills to interact with a variety of personalities at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Exercises tact, mature judgment, diplomacy, and flexibility to promote positive working relationships and job effectiveness.
  • Must be detail oriented.

Qualifications

  • Uses established skills to perform a range of daily operations.
  • Clinical terminology and GCPs knowledge.
  • Basic knowledge of clinical trial process, regulations and guidelines.
  • Basic knowledge of the different types of clinical contracts and site budgets.
  • Good contract administration skills with basic knowledge of clinical contract budgeting process.
  • Excellent computer skills required.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

The hourly rate we reasonably expect to pay is $31.20-$41.77. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
