Associate Actuary - Seattle Health
About the role
Milliman's Seattle Health Practice is seeking an Associate Actuary with experience in health actuarial work. The ideal candidate will possess creative actuarial capabilities, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and organizational talents. Self-motivation and the ability to lead a team of analysts are essential.
Responsibilities
- Perform analysis of healthcare data
- Write reports explaining technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Manage projects within an expected budget
- Supervise actuarial students in project completion
- Develop the ability to manage client relationships
- Generate new business with both new and existing clients (optional)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field
- ASA designation
- Four or more years of healthcare actuarial experience
- Experience in Medicaid rate-setting, reserving and year-end statutory financials, ACA pricing/rate filing, Medicare Advantage, value-based provider contracting, proficiency with Excel, SAS, SQL, or R, and strong understanding of the US healthcare system

Pay
The overall salary range for this role is $88,800 - $208,380. The actual salary will be determined based on factors such as education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, and location.

This position is based out of the Milliman office in Seattle, WA. Remote candidates anywhere in the US will be considered. The expected application deadline for this job is September 18, 2026.
