This Opportunity
The Chicago office of Heitman is seeking an Associate to join the Acquisitions team. We are looking for a self-starter, highly collaborative, analytical individual with a strong interest in Real Estate.
R Ersponsibilities
- Preparing and confirming pro forma cash flow projections, return analysis, and waterfall projections for potential investment opportunities
- Preparing summaries of investment opportunities for internal or client presentations
- Cooking and participating in due diligence relating to investment opportunities
- Working collaboratively with other groups such as research and portfolio and asset management
Q ualifications
- 1 - 3 years of real estate experience with a strong preference for candidates with prior professional work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or real estate
- General understanding of real estate finance, property valuation, and equity investment analysis
- Excellent communicator with strong writing skills
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
- Enjoys working in a dynamic team environment
- Prioritizes tasks, works on multiple assignments, and handles ambiguity
- Enjoys working both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Argus experience a plus
- Willingness to travel
J ob Location and T ravel
This position is based in our Chicago office. Our team works in the office 4-5 days a week. Moderate to extensive travel required.
R elevant T otal R ewards (C ompensation, B enefits & P perks)
The expected annual base salary range for this role is $75,000-$85,000 and will be further discussed during the interview process. This range represents what Heitman reasonably and in good faith believe s we would pay a qualified candidate for this role at the time of posting (based on a full-time equivalent schedule). Your actual base salary placement will depend on factors such as (but not limited to): your relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
In addition , all of our team members are bonus eligible and participate in a generous annual bonus plan , with the percentage varying based on your role and level, ensuring that your contributions are recognized and rewarded.
