Responsibilities

  • Generate accounts payable checks.
  • Enter, post, and record requested void payments.
  • Prepare FedEx labels for expedited payments.
  • Ensure compliance with generally accepted and company-established accounting policies and procedures.
  • Interact with various departments regarding issues and other situations as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and orderly accounting files.
  • Ensure account accuracy by reconciling transactions; investigating and resolving discrepancies; following policies and procedures; keeping information confidential.
  • Perform accurate and timely processing of vendor invoicing, assuring discrepancies are reviewed, researched, and closed.
  • Enter, post, and record requested manual payments.
  • Post invoices into the computer system.
  • Assist with other projects as assigned.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of previous accounting experience.
  • Must be familiar with PC applications such as MS-Excel and MS-Word.
  • Experience with computerized accounting systems is a plus.
