Associate, Accounts Payable
About the role
Process payables accurately and on time and ensure effective communication with internal and external personnel.
Responsibilities
- Input vendor invoices, credit memos, freight bills, expense reports for payment scheduling, and payment processing.
- Verify the accuracy of the invoices to ensure that they have been properly coded and the appropriate approvals have been received in compliance with policies.
- Provide back-up support for other Accounts Payable team members.
- Answer all vendor or internal customer inquiries accurately and on time.
- Support A/P Manager with audit requests.
Requirements
- Significant work experience in Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable in a corporate environment.
- High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent required.
Skills
- Proven verbal & written communication skills with internal & external customers.
- Proficient in EXCEL (intermediate), proven proficiency in the use of Windows software programs.
- Prior SAP AP and PO experience is a plus.
- Ideally good prior AP Workflow experience.
- Speed and accuracy with keying in invoice data into AP System.
- ESKER experience is also a plus.
- Business & Strategic Acumen: Understand basic business models and general strategies.
- Financial Statement Acumen: Apply basic understanding of income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement.
- Performance Reporting & Analysis: Create and produce basic performance reporting and analytics.
- Customer Value Optimization: Understand and assemble basic customer and product financial information.
- Controls, Compliance & Risk: Execute basic internal control procedures with regularity and proficiency.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and function in a team environment.
Pay
Pay range: $46,600.00 - $62,133.33 annual. This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
