Overview

The Associate Accounts Payable Analyst will be responsible for routine operations of the Accounts Payable function and other special projects at the request of financial management.

Responsibilities

  • Enter invoices and credit memos into SAP that cannot be processed through automation.
  • Execute daily payment runs.
  • Perform vendor account reconciliations.
  • Respond to vendor and internal customer inquiries and resolve invoice- and payment-related issues.
  • Work directly with Mizuho Bank to investigate questionable payments and assist management in determining whether payments should be processed or rejected.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Aid the Associate Manager with day-to-day operational problem solving and issue resolution.
  • Review system output and perform analyses to support management's review and approval.
  • Review employee expense reports in Concur for compliance with Company Travel & Expense policies.
  • Develop an understanding of SAP financial configuration and system integrations.
  • Partner with IT and system support teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses as requested.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), system implementations, upgrades, and other special projects.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • One or more years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
  • Experience with SAP or a comparable ERP system preferred.
  • Experience with Concur or other expense management systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
